    BOXERS…

    Learning Intentions - 

    We are FOCUSING on reading a pattern, pattern symbols and preparing our pattern and pinning to our fabric so that we can cut it out.

    We are PLAN /MAKING our boxers by following the instructions on GC, the cards in class and checking with the teacher. (Pinned my pattern on correctly, Cut out, Plain Seam, Curved Seam, Neatening, Casing, Hemming).

    We are EXPLORING, FOCUSING, PLAN & DO on creating our own Top to go with our Boxers. We will do this by using our  EXPLORING done in Term 1 & 2 Fabric Decoration Methods to decorate the top.  

    Success Criteria:

    BOXERS:

    I can/have completed the activities set on GC and in class on using a pattern, pattern symbols, preparing fabric and cutting out. (A2)

    I can/have cut out my boxers. (A2)

    I can/have constructed my boxers following the instructions on GC and on the cards in class. (A2)

    I can/have recorded visually my progress in the making of my boxers for my Assessment 2.  Chosen the correct pattern, Prepared my fabric, Pinned on my pattern correctly, Cut out, Plain Seam, Curved Seam, Neatening, Casing, Hemming.

    I can/have sketched out what i am going to do on my Top. I have explored and focussed on learning how to do this new decorating method. 

    I can/have applied the Design to my top.

    I can/have presented my Drawings and Final outcomes x 2 - photograph submitted to GC.

    Activities:

    1. Complete the activities in the Journal on GC 1-7 for the Bag from last term.

    Boxers - Term 3 & 4

    1. Complete the activities in the Boxer Journal doc on GC.

    2. Participate in the activities in class and complete the activities on GC for Assessment 2 upload on GC as you go - re Patterns, preparing fabric and cutting out, Plain seam, curved seam, Casing, elastic, hemming.

    3. Construct your boxers following the instructions on the cards, GC or seek help from the teacher. Make sure you have submitted images of each step on GC. If you are using black or navy you may need to hand your boxers as the sewing may not show up in an image.

    Record your progress visually for Assessment 2 upload as you go for A2 on GC

    Leftover boxer fabric can be made into a quick and easy top for sleeping in / wear with your Boxer or going out in.

     If you choose to wear it out we may need to do some different technques on it so suitable for this if other people are going to see it.
