    EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

    • We are EXPLORING...how the elements of time, space, energy, and relationships influence movement and expression in dance.
    • We are EXPLORING...how various energies (sharp, fluid, sustained) can be used to tell a story through movement.
    • We are EXPLORING...creative ways to communicate relationships between dancers using proximity and interaction in space.


    Week 1: Group Formation & Brainstorming
    • In-Class:
      • Introduction to the project and assessment criteria (15 mins).
      • Warm-up and stretching (10 mins).
      • Group formation and initial brainstorming (35 mins).
    • At Home:
      • Share ideas for themes/music with your group members. Research 2 different songs you might want to use (20 mins).
