  • Week 10: Final Preparations and Confidence Building

    Objective: Final preparations and build confidence for the performance.

    PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI

    PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI learning intentions:

    • We are PLANNING to perform our dances so that we can demonstrate stylistic techniques and movements usually associated with particular dance genres or styles or that include personal ways of moving that emerge from improvisation and creative work


    Activities: 

    • Warm-up and stretching (10 minutes)
    • Full run-through of "Smooth Criminal" (30 minutes)
    • Full run-through of "Footloose" (30 minutes)
    • Full run-through of "Salute" (30 minutes)
    • Final tips, encouragement, and Q&A session (20 minutes)

    At Home Practice:

    • Light practice and rest to maintain energy for the performance (15 minutes each).
    • Music and videos for practice are available on Google Classroom.
