    EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

    • We are exploring....... the elements of Visual Language by observing and
 understanding symbols and examples

    • We are exploring.......Visual Language by applying its elements to construct a comic based on Big Ideas of the context.
    • We are exploring....... the connections between oral, written, and visual language by creating a
 visual text (Kiwi Legend Comic) 


    FOCUS / ARONGA

    FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

    • We are focussed on ‘Legends of Aotearoa’ by choosing a Kiwi legend to create our comic.
    • We are focussed on ‘Legends of Aotearoa’ by selecting appropriate visual language techniques/elements and mediums to create our comic on one of the studied legend.


    Kia Ora Y7. From this week onward, we will be working on making a Comic on Kiwi Legends. This is an extension of what you have done before: Elements of Visual Language (Static Image). Who doesn’t love comics? This week, read as many comics as you can from your treasure and/or online.

    Attached are a few documents about the definitions/elements/vocabulary of Comics. Will you be able to identify some of these in your own comics? 

    Big Idea: Aotearoa: Where Legends Are Born
