    EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

      • We are EXPLORING COMMUNICATION by analysing how relationships and friendships are portrayed in the film Wonder
      • We are EXPLORING COMMUNICATION by observing Auggie's identity journey in the film 'Wonder'
      • We are EXPLORING COMMUNICATION by discovering how bullying impacts people
      • We are EXPLORING COMMUNICATION by empathising with diverse people around us and by being inclusive
      • We are EXPLORING COMMUNICATION by recognising diversity through film and the key messages of tolerance and acceptance.

    Big Idea: 

    Let's Communicate (Wānanga)

    Activities:

    -Discussing the themes of the film 'Wonder.'

    Activity 1: We will compliment/applaud people we have hurt in the past. We will also sit with them (If they are in our class) for the entire week.

    Activity 2: We will all do different deeds of kindness in and out of school. Whenever we do it, we will write our name on a piece of paper with a little description of what we did. We will drop all the paper slips in a jar and read them at the end of the term.
