Welcome to term 4!
This term we explore the context of Festivals and Celebrations. We'll begin with Halloween which is on October 31st.
Learning Intentions: We are learning to (WALT)...
- identify vocabulary about halloween
- respond to the history of 'trick and treat'
- take notes in our books
- realise the importance of understanding history of festivals and celebrations
Success Criteria: I can/have...
- defined the key vocabulary
- read the articles relating to festivals
- respond to understand using the articles
Activities:
- Monday S4: Read together the article on google classroom "Halloween Traditions - write the key vocab in your English book with meanings to show you understand.
- Tuesday S4: complete the comprehension task on google classroom - Halloween Traditions.
- Friday S5: Library session. Choose a booked themed around Horror genre e.g goosebumps as one to issue this week.
