Setting of our shared novel: The Cay By Theodore Taylor. We take a look at Curacao in 1942, how does that compare with Curacao today?

Activities:
- Monday S4: Introduction to The Cay and begin reading chapter one and two - find the Caribbean and the town where The Cay is set, do you think that is what it looks like today? Write 4 differences between Curacao in 1942 and today. think /pair/share. Record as bullet points in your English books.
- Tuesday S4: Continue reading chapters 1 and 2, research the author Theodore Taylor and record 10 facts about him in your english book.
- Friday S5: Library session - return your holiday reads and issue new novels.
