    EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

    • We are EXPLORING the context of Develop, Do, change by identifying the different food groups that make up a healthy meal plan and discover the health contents of the nutrients that it provides.
    • We are EXPLORING the context of Develop, Do, Change by listing what major food groups that we commonly consume, and analyse how they influence our physical well being.

    MondayPractical session - Gym 

    Learning Intention: 

    We are exploring the context of Develop, Do, Change by listing what major food groups that we commonly consume, and analyse how they influence our physical well being. 

    Please meet in class before heading down to the gym. 

    Today we will be doing a basic fitness testing programme. Use this time to measure how long your rest periods are between each exercise and we will compare it in another session and see if any improvements have been made. 

    Note: It is important that you keep track of what you eat the day before and the morning of so that you can try keep the processes the same as much as you can. 

    Wednesday- In class session

    Learning Intentions
    1. We are exploring the context of Develop, Do, change by identifying the different food groups that make up a healthy meal plan. 

    Today I will be introducing the 4 major food groups. 

    We will also continue with the serving size of each food and complete a worksheet activity which consists of all work from previous lessons. 

    Thursday- In class session

    Learning Intentions
    1. We are exploring the context of Develop, Do, change by identifying the different food groups that make up a healthy meal plan. 

    Today, we will be focusing on the food group of Carbohydrates and the effects of it on the human body.
