    • Assessment 1: Dark Tourism Research Project Assignment

      You are required to work individually to create an essay or record a podcast (with script) about a Dark Tourist attraction of your choice. You need to research your dark tourist attraction and show an understanding of where/what the attraction is, the economic and social impacts of the attraction and the different perspectives people have on this place being used as a tourist attraction.

    • Assessment 2: Report on my Social Action Assignment

      This assessment activity requires you to become informed about Child Poverty in Aotearoa which is a social justice/human rights issue. You are also required to investigate the possible Social Actions organisation / Social Actions a person could take in response to this issue.  Your Social Action must be associated with an established Social Action organisation. You are then required to participate in your chosen social justice and human rights action. Finally, you will then prepare a report describing your personal involvement in the social action.

    • Alternative Assessment Assignment

      Part One: Complete the reading to learn more about poverty. 

      Part Two: Create a pamphlet or poster with important facts about poverty in New Zealand. Make sure you also include pictures and have a title.
