BIG IDEA: IT'S ALL FUN & GAMES (COMMON WEALTH GAMES)
This week, we begin our Term 3 context. You will be reading stories about Commonwealth countries and athletes. You will also improve your writing skills this term and learn about different purposes of writing. Later in the term, you will act as reporters, journalist, blogger etc. and write about Wai Whanau Games. This will be different for everybody depending on your member country and the events you choose to write about.EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:
- We are EXPLORING...Commonwealth Games by analysing a range of verbal & visual texts
 - We are EXPLORING....Commonwealth Games by investigating the life stories of famous athletes.
 - We are EXPLORING… Written Communication by integrating different strategies, language features and techniques in our writing
