  • Term 3: Week 2

    We continue to present our speech to the class this week. NCEA students finish recording and sharing their speech by 5th August.  

    FOCUS / ARONGA

    FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

      • We are FOCUSSING on expressing our ideas, opinions and thoughts on our chosen topic by planning and constructing an oral presentation.
      • We are FOCUSSING on effective public speaking by understanding, discussing and applying the features of verbal language, body language for making an oral presentation.

    PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI

    PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI learning intentions:

        • We are PLANNING to construct a Verbal text so that we can demonstrate an understanding of the purpose and audience through deliberate choice of content, language and text form.
        • We are PLANNING to deliver an oral presentation so that we can express our ideas, opinions and thoughts on our chosen topic.

    • Activities:

        1. Memorising your speech.

        2. Keeping your cue cards ready.

        3. Spending a lot of time on practicing your speech.

        4. Presenting your speech 

        5. NCEA students (Recording and sharing your speech video with me by 5th August;Friday 3 p.m.)
