Term One Week Eight

PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI learning intentions:

• We are PLANNING a short performance of a Blues that we can present to another group
• We are PREPARING for our Term Two performances

Kia ora Year 10 Music

From this week we will start working on some performance skills leading up to our focus for next term which is, unsurprisingly, performances.

You will work on these skills through learning and playing a Blues song and presenting them to your peers.

Success criteria - you can/have:

• Written original lyrics for a 12 Bar Blues chord progression
• Begun to play/sing your song from beginning to end

Activities:

• Weekly lesson with Mr Picot
• Watching the experts - looking at videos and analysing the performances of working musicians
• Blues song practice
