    • We are FOCUSED on AKO by strengthening Tuakana-Teina relationships between Y7 and Y10
    • We are FOCUSED on Verbal & Visual texts by making connections between the texts of diverse cultures.
    PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI

    PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI learning intentions:

    • We are PLANNING... to establish Tuakana-Teina so that we can strengthen Ako and teach Y7 to recite the school karakia and perform school Haka

    Activities: (only 2 sessions this week)

    -Reading about multicultural representation through architecture in Auckland

    -Activities based on the reading:

    After reading, using an A3 page, you will design a building which must include the following:

    -Aspects/Elements of your cultures
    --Aspects/Elements of Maori culture
    -Aspects/Elements of Pasifika culture
    -Aspects/Elements of other diverse cultures that you see in Auckland
    -Side notes to explain your choices

    Remember the elements of Static Image which you will use:

    -Colours
    -Dominant Image
    -Layout
    -Font (Size and Colour)
    -Symbols
    -Text
    -Negative Space
