Welcome to Week 8 as we explore amazing journeys of people in our lives. We all have a journey to share and off course we know of someone who has a lot to talk about. Every journey of our lives is special, for it is out journeys which craft our pathways to what we are and what we want to become.

Overall Outcome: to effectively interview a family member about a journey, and to use the interviewee's information to write a biography extract.

FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

• We are learning about the elements of a biography (how to plan, structure and write a biography).
• We are preparing to interview a member of our whanau about an amazing journey which they have taken.
• We are planning our interview questions by learning about interview skills and question types.

Week 8 - 10)

Week 8 - This week's learning is online: 

1. Complete the biography task on EP. 

2. Write your interview questions on the Interview skills doc shared on Google Classroom. 

3. Find a family member you could interview. - ask them and tell them that you will share the questions before the interview so that they have time to think about them.

Week 9 -

1. Complete your interview questions

2. Interview the chosen family member - write their responses. More detail will be provided in Week 9.

2. Plan and write your biography (a planning/writing template will be shared on Google  Classroom in Week 9).

Week 10

Complete and submit your biography on Google Classroom.
