learning & wellbeing. 

This week, we continue to explore the use of personification and precise vocabulary in writing.

We will complete crafting the personification poem you started last week.

Read and follow the Success Criteria instructions below carefully.

EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

• We are EXPLORING writing skills by creating a coastal poem
• We are EXPLORING personification as a figurative language
• We are EXPLORING the use of precise vocabulary to create a clear metal picture.

Success Criteria: I can/have...

• brainstormed and gathered information of a coastal object
• crafted a personification poem on the chosen object
• edited my poem to make sure it has precise vocabulary and descriptions that create a clear mental picture
• emailed my poem to nnarayan@mhjc.school.nz 
• illustrated and published my poem after I have received and acted on feedback from Mrs. Narayan (and my family).

Activities

• Choose one coast object
• Find out about its descriptions and characteristics
• Write and publish a personification poem on the chosen object (use the information you have collected on your object to write this).
