FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

• We are FOCUSED on expressing our ideas, opinions and thoughts on our chosen topic by planning and constructing an oral presentation.
• We are FOCUSED on effective public speaking by understanding, discussing and applying the features of verbal language, body language for making an oral presentation.

PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI learning intentions:

• We are PLANNING to construct a Verbal text so that we can demonstrate an understanding of the purpose and audience through deliberate choice of content, language and text form.

• We are PLANNING to deliver an oral presentation so that we can express our ideas, opinions and thoughts on our chosen topic.

Activities:

-Speech catch-ups and resubmissions

-Reflecting on our speech writing and delivery

-Finalising the names for the inter-whanau speech competition

(7W2- 2 sessions this week due to teacher's only day on 10th August)
