    PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI learning intentions:

    • We are PLANNING to produce a presentation so that we can  demonstrate our ideas in relation to social injustice issues and changemakers in society.
    • We are PLANNING to develop oral presentation skills

    Term 3: Week 1

    Plan: Welcome back! + Assessment 2 Prep 

    I hope everyone has had a lovely holiday! We will be continueing with our term 2 context of "Kia Puawai " into the first few weeks of term 3. This concept is about growing as a person, becoming your own hero, and standing up for what you believe in. These ideas are going to be explored in the film Black Panther. We will also be investing some of the other themes in the film such as racism, empowerment of women, and working as a tribe or team across your subject areas. The aim is that by the end of this term, you will be able to use the concepts explored in the film to create your own short film or speech on similar topics .

    Presentation skills
    - Create and develop a clear presentation
    - Verbally deliver ideas with clarity and confidence 
    - Incorporate learning across subject areas
