  • Kia ora, I hope you are all doing well. By now, you should have all finished reading your novels, this will make completing your one-pagers a lot easier! This week we are going to work on your Response to Text Essays. We have spent several weeks focussing on one-pagers and gathering information from your novels, covering theme, setting, character, and plot. Now we are going to use your one-pagers to complete a practice essay.

    Success Criteria: I can/have...

    • I will be able to complete a Response to Text Essay 
    • I will use my completed one-pagers to support my essay writing 

    Activities:  

    • Watch the video to help you understand how to successfully respond to your text, and break down the essay question. 
    • Write a Respone to Text essay.

    Homework:

    • Upload all of your completed one-pagers to Google Classroom.
