    Just as work consumes sandstone, so it consumes people/everything worthwhile takes considerable effort

    Kia ora.  This week we are going to continue with our research with a focus on effective note making and note taking.  Having a system to record the information you have found is essential for you to be able to understand what you have found, and to present it in your writing in your own words.  This is more that changing a few adjectives or adverbs - it is about you demonstrating your understanding and being able to use information from a variety of sources to draw your own conclusions.

    Success Criteria: I can/have...

    • Identify appropriate sources of information
    • Use a framework to unpack information
    • Record information with brevity and clarity
    • Use my own notes in my writing

    Activities:

    1. Analysis of infromation paragraph
    2. Dot/jot, Key/Detail note taking frameworks
    3. Practice taking own notes and using these notes to create TEXAS paragraphs
