FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:
- We are FOCUSSING on expressing our ideas, opinions and thoughts on our chosen topic by planning and constructing an oral presentation.
- We are FOCUSSING on effective public speaking by understanding, discussing and applying the features of verbal language, body language for making an oral presentation.
PLAN & DO / WHAKAMAHI learning intentions:
- We are PLANNING to construct a Verbal text so that we can demonstrate an understanding of the purpose and audience through deliberate choice of content, language and text form.
- We are PLANNING to deliver an oral presentation so that we can express our ideas, opinions and thoughts on our chosen topic.
Activities: (CHECKPOINT 3: 2nd JULY)
-Completing the second and third body paragraphs.
-Completing the conclusion of the speech.
(Don’t forget about sequence markers such as firstly, secondly, consequently, lastly etc. Also consider using proverbs from your own language, persuasive techniques and language devices. A few links to Maori and Pasifika proverbs were given on your Google Classroom last week and are given below.)
