- Classify plants into major groups
- Identify the main parts of a plant
- Explain how plants obtain, transport and use nutrients
Activities:
- Create a dichotomous key for plants from information provided
- Draw a plant and label it's parts
- Recognise the Sun as our main source of energy
- Discuss the function of each part in your group and share
- Watch video -
- Explain vocabulary-chlorophyll, vascular, stomata etc
- Explain how various functions carried out by the main parts of a plant help it to grow and survive
