    FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

    • We are FOCUSING on Place Value strategy so that we can  develop  mental addition and subtraction skill using number place value partitioning.
    • We are FOCUSING on Algebra Multiplying Expressions so that we can develop  the skill of multiplying variables.
    • (extra for expert)  We are FOCUSING on problem solving so that we can develop the skill of unpacking a mathematical problem and logical thinking, and get the chance to apply math strategies we have learnt.
    • (revision) Prime number, prime factorisation (factor tree diagram), rounding whole numbers and decimals.

    • mentally work out the answer of addition/subtraction problems using place value strategy
    • multiply variables in algebraic expressions
