- Define ecology and ecosystems
- Observe and identify the relationships between living and non-living things in an environment
- Make connections to explain the interactions with and interdependence of living and non living things in an environment
Activities:
- Teacher puts random words e.g. birds, soil, plants, rain etc on board. Asks students to identify connections/relationships among these. Record responses
- Introduce definition of Ecology and ecosystems. Copied in books
