Kia Ora Y9. This week, we are going on Tawharanui trip. We will discuss all activities, requirements and expectations of the trip. Also, we will participate in the 'Library Fun Challenge' on Monday.

Activities:
-Discussing the activities, requirements and expectations of Tawharanui trip.
-Participating in the 'Library Fun Challenge' on Monday.
Success Criteria: (I can)
-understand how leadership is acquired in New Zealand by studying about the political parties and their leaders
-compare and contrast the policies of different political parties of New Zealand for 2020 Election to understand their positioning on Environment, Referendums and Closed Borders
-think critically about texts with understanding & confidence and recognise, understand and consider how texts are constructed for a range of purposes, audiences and situations
-construct texts (delivering speeches, debates, making posters, writing manifesto and political statements) that demonstrate an understanding of purpose and audience through deliberate choice of content, language, and text form and can seek feedback to make changes to texts to improve clarity, meaning, and effect
-use a wide range of verbal & written language features and an increasing range of vocabulary to communicate precise meaning & effect, to sustain interest and to achieve a sense of coherence when constructing texts
