Learning Intentions: (We are learning to...)
We are exploring.......self by observing our habits, behaviour, values and standards.
We are exploring......self awareness by identifying our feelings for self and others.
We are exploring.....our relationships by thinking about the value, challenges, purpose, issues and gaps of relationships within a variety of texts
We are exploring.....’Change’ by analysing the ways in which life & relationships have changed after lockdown
We are exploring......the impacts of different media on self by reflecting on how they influence our thinking about self and our behaviour
We are exploring....... the elements of Verbal Language by understanding and applying content, language, and text forms in our speech
Success Criteria: I can….
-consistently and intentionally explore personal beliefs, values, strengths, and challenges and how they impact me and my relationships
-think critically about texts (short stories/short films) with understanding & confidence and recognise, understand and consider how texts are constructed for a range of purposes, audiences, and situations
-construct texts (speech) that demonstrate an understanding of purpose (public speaking) and audience through deliberate choice of content, language, and text form and can seek feedback to make changes to texts to improve clarity, meaning, and effect
-use a wide range of oral & written language features and an increasing range of vocabulary to communicate precise meaning & effect, to sustain interest and to achieve a sense of coherence when constructing texts
-convey and sustain a personal voice where appropriate by being reflective about the production of my own texts: monitor and self-evaluate progress, articulate learning with confidence.
