Kia Ora Y10. This week, you will continue to work on your speech. Remember to use a Google doc. for writing your speech. Those who have not discussed their speech topic with me, need to do it, prior to writing their speech. We aim to complete our speech by the end of this week.
I have attached the NCEA booklet here for your reference, which I discussed with you in the class. Read it carefully. I will be finalising the names for NCEA this week.

-think critically about texts (short stories/short films) with understanding & confidence and recognise, understand and consider how texts are constructed for a range of purposes, audiences, and situations
-construct texts (speech) that demonstrate an understanding of purpose (public speaking) and audience through deliberate choice of content, language, and text form and can seek feedback to make changes to texts to improve clarity, meaning, and effect
-use a wide range of oral & written language features and an increasing range of vocabulary to communicate precise meaning & effect, to sustain interest and to achieve a sense of coherence when constructing texts
-convey and sustain a personal voice where appropriate by being reflective about the production of my own texts: monitor and self-evaluate progress, articulate learning with confidence.
