    • Describe the interior structure and basic composition of the Earth
    • Identify and label a diagram of the cross section of the Earth
    • Describe the formation of the 3 major rock types
    • Describe and explain the processes involved in the rock cycle 
    • Research the major volcanic types and how they form 
    • Investigate the presence of tectonic plates 
    • How fossils are made 
    • Describe the 3 main movements of the tectonic plates 
    • Discuss and describe the causes and consequences of volcanoes earthquakes and tsunamis 

    Success Criteria: I can/have...

    • Describe the basic structure and composition of the earth
    • Identify and label a diagram of the cross section of the earth 
    • Briefly describe the formation of the 3 major rock types 
    • Research the formation of the major volcano types 
    • Sing and describe the "Rock Cycle" 
    • Identify the different tectonic plates 
    • Describe how fossils are made 
    • Identify the 3 main plate movements 
    • Explain how volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis are formed 
    • explain the consequences of the above events
