Blues Music
Week Five Activities:
- Recap - AAB lyrical form and 12-bar variations
- Listening - examples of Blues elements in other styles of music
- Writing - extending our original lyrics to create multiple verses and a chorus
- Practicing - your original song
Success criteria - you can/have:
- Explain the 12-bar form and the ways that it can be changed
- Identify Blues elements (such as 12-bar form, melodies/harmonies) in a song that is not considered Blues
- Play through a verse of your own "Blues" influenced song
