Term Two Week Seven

EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

• We are EXPLORING New Zealand music throughout history
• We are EXPLORING significant NZ songs/waiata
• We are EXPLORING the purpose of music in society

We will continue to look at New Zealand Music, as well as learning some basic instrumental skills - learning to play chords and read the chord chart or lead sheet of a New Zealand song.

Activities:

• Reading through lead sheets/chord charts/sheet music
• Developing technical skills on an instrument through practicing
• Familiarising with the song that we want to learn

Success criteria - you can/have:

During class, you will be creating your own individual learning intentions and success criteria. These will be written on Google Classroom. We will look at what are appropriate goals to set based on your current ability, and where you should be going next.
