Please read through the DEEP descriptions below for 2018. The DEEP courses are listed in Terms, by category (Discovery, Enrichment, Essentials, Passions, Sports and Learning Advisors), and then by alphabetical order.

Please note that courses with charges are only available to students who have paid their compulsory fees and previous DEEP fees.

Monday

Discovery
At Mission Heights we want you to explore new areas of learning so that you may discover and grow your grain of Greatness. Each discovery course may only be selected once per year.
Beginners 3D Printing (B3DP2)

There is a charge of $12 for this course.
This DEEP course is for students who want to learn how to use CAD tools to discover the world of design and technology then bring their design creations to life using 3D printing technology. No prior knowledge of computer aided design or 3D printing is needed. The fee will be needed to cover the cost of ABS plastic materials so you must be committed to meeting these costs. Restricted to 20 students due to printer access.

Beginners Crochet (CROC2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
In this DEEP you will learn the craft of crochet. You will make items that you can take home, give as gifts, or use yourself. Crochet is a process of creating fabric by interlocking loops of yarn, thread or strands of other materials using a crochet hook.

Chinese Cooking (CCOO2)

There is a charge of $35 for this course.
This DEEP will teach you how to make traditional Chinese food. You will learn the tricks behind making amazing dumplings, fried rice, and spring rolls. You will work towards learning cooking safety to utilize at home and be able to cook traditional meals on your own.

Chinese Craft and Culture (CRAF2)

You will experience ancient Chinese arts, such as Chinese calligraphy, Chinese water colour painting, origami, and even making your own dragons. You will enjoy many hands-on activities and showcase your crafty creations to your friends and family. All are welcome. The cost is $5 per person.

Cross Stitch (XSTI2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
Cross-stitch is a form of sewing and a popular form of counted-thread embroidery in which X-shaped stitches in a tiled, raster-like pattern are used to form a picture. The stitcher counts the threads on a piece of even weave fabric (such as linen) in each direction so that the stitches are of uniform size and appearance. Come and get stitch creative in this course

Discover Mindfulness (DIMN2)

An Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation

How to Stay Safe - How to Deal with Peer Pressure (PEER2)

This DEEP is run by our local Community Constable. Learn all about staying safe with the influence of peer pressure. How peers can affect your choices and alter your own decisions. Learn about the impacts of Drugs and Alcohol and the laws that play a role. Finally find out information on Cyber Safety.

Keyboard for Beginners (KEYB2)

Interested in increasing your music knowledge? Learn basic chords, note names, note values, treble and bass clefs, 4/4 time signature, and to read simple music in this beginners keyboard DEEP.

Soap Making (SOAP2)

There is a charge of $35 for this course.
Are you interested in making your own soap and other bath products? Do you like natural products similar to those from Lush? In this DEEP, you will learn the science behind soap making. You will make and package your own soap to take home or give away as gifts. Learn these skills so you can further make products at home.

Touch Typing (TTYP2)

Touch typing (also called touch type or touch keyboarding) is typing without using the sense of sight to find the keys. Specifically, a touch typist will know their location on the keyboard through muscle memory. This course will use online platforms and games to develop this essential digital skill.

Trivia (TRIV2)

Would you like to become more knowledgeable about the world around you? In this DEEP you will test your knowledge and your competitive streak while completing a number of trivia quizzes. Expand your knowledge, then challenge yourself and your friends! As an outcome, you will work towards competing in a class quiz at the end of term, with a chance to create your own quiz for your whanau.

Enrichment
Enrichment courses are designed for students who have found and want to continue to grow an area of strength. Some enrichment courses require a commitment for more than one Term. Please read the course descriptions for details.
Creative Writing (CREW2)

Learn to write creatively using images and pictures to further your love for writing and improve your skills.

Scratch (SCRT2)

Learn to code. Create your own games and animations. With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab.

English Level 3: Reading - Monday Yr 7/8 ONLY (ERM32)

For students working at Curriculum Level 3 who would like to receive additional help with their Reading. Learning Advisors should confirm your reading level from your latest e-asTTle assessment report.

English Level 3: Writing Yr 7/8 ONLY (EWM32)

For students working at Curriculum Level 3 who would like to receive additional help with their Written Language. Students will develop their understanding of the surface and deeper features of quality writing, through a range of fun and effective learning activities.

ESOL - Monday Intermediate (ESLM2)

ESOL classes have been prepared by Mrs Clansey, in consultation with Whanau teachers.

Maths Level 3: Number Yr 7/8 ONLY (MNM32)

For students who are working at Level 3 and need additional help in the 'number' strand. Please confirm your level from the latest e-asTTle results.

Production Band (PBND2)

This is for students who have been chosen in the band for the 2018 school production.

Production Dance (DANC2)

This DEEP is for students who have been selected for the school production and have dancing parts.

Passion courses are about you designing your programme to reflect your interests to allow students to personalise and exciting learning program. Passions may be selected for more than one Term if desired.
Enviro DEEP (ENVI2)

Stream monitoring, tree planting, pest tracking, and park clean-ups are several community environmental activities you will work on in this DEEP. Help build a Maori herb garden for the school and resurrect the Worm Farm!

Jigsaw Puzzles (JIGP2)

Improve your focus and problem solving skills with jigsaws! In this DEEP you will build a variety of jigsaws, starting with 100-piece puzzles and working all the way up to 1000 pieces. Wind down and have fun while developing patience, perseverance, and a range of skills. As an outcome, you will work towards completing a 1000-piece puzzle in a group.

Library Club (LICL2)

Are you interested in reading books? Interested in sharing books with others. In this book club you will be doing just that! You will be reading books in the library and then writing book recommendations for fellow students.

Sports
It is important that you consider all 4 Cornerstones when designing your personalised DEEP learning programme. Please make your selections from the list below remembering that you can only select up to two sports courses per term.
Advanced Football (AFOT2)

This DEEP is targeted to the Yearr 9 and 10 Boys Football squad. However this also open to boys who trial for the Year 9/10 Football team as well as capable Year 7 and 8 players. please discuss with Mr Dunn and Mr Nutt to ascertain your suitability.

Badminton (BADM2)

Are you interested in Badminton? Then this is for you! Come and develop your skills, learn the game, and perfect your shot! Skills will the learned through playing singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Opportunities to move further on to tournament level to represent the school are possible.

Girls Boot Class (BOOT2)

This is for girls only! A fun fitness class with great music and a great instructor. Come join the fun and work to improve your fitness.

Girls Football (GFOT2)

This is open to all girls in the Year 9/10 football team and is also open to girls interested in improving their football skills. This will run as a practice and extra training to support improvement before the season begins.

Ninja Fitness (NFIT2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
There is a $10 fee for this DEEP. Are you interested in improving your fitness and training like a Ninja? Than this DEEP is for you. Learn skills and techniques or Ninja training while working to improve your personal strength and fitness.

Orienteering (ORIE2)

Learn how to navigate around outdoor courses using maps, compasses and landmarks. This DEEP would best suit students who want to compete in the SEZ or ASB Sport Orienteering events or to try a new sport. There will be an EOTC component to this DEEP with a transport cost later in this term.

Speed Walking (WALK2)

Are you wanting to improve your health? Spend the hour DEEP session improving your base-line fitness and enjoying the outdoors? For this DEEP you must be in your PE gear and sport shoes. You must be willing to walk for the entire one-hour session.

Strength and Conditioning (STRE2)

In this course you will be specifically training to support the needs and demands of your chosen sport. This DEEP will extend your capacity to express yourself physically and mentally at a high level of sports performance. This is an Enrichment DEEP course and will involve physical challenges that will push the body. This DEEP is good preparation for those students that already play or wishing to play at ASB College Sport level or someone trying to make the AIMS team.

Tuesday

Discovery
At Mission Heights we want you to explore new areas of learning so that you may discover and grow your grain of Greatness. Each discovery course may only be selected once per year.
Bollywood Dance (BOLY2)

In this DEEP you will learn all the moves and fun behind Bollywood dancing. This DEEP is available for Year 7 and 8 students. You will work towards performing a piece at a school function.

Chinese Calligraphy (CCAL2)

You are going to explore different forms of traditional Chinese art, such as Chinese calligraphy and ink wash painting. You will learn how to handle the brush and to use strokes and lines to form Chinese characters and pictures in style. Inspiration will come from well-known artists' work and your own imagination! All are welcome.

Collage (COLL2)

Use the process of collage to design and construct an artwork using printed paper in combination with hand drawn images.

Craftit (CRFI2)

There is a charge of $15 for this course.
In this DEEP, you will work your way though many art and crafting projects using a variety of materials to produce a range of potential gifts and arts pieces for your home.

Educational Board Games (BOAR2)

Learn to play a variety of board games and maybe even find a new favourite to teach your family.

Electronic Music (EMUS2)

This DEEP is for students that have an interest in creating original music using digital technologies - alongside or in place of traditional instruments. You will learn the basics of using music software to create your own music and have it presented. Prior knowledge of playing an instrument or music theory is not necessary. As an outcome, you can have your work presented to an audience.

Inkscape for Beginners (INKS2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
This DEEP will give all participants the opportunity to learn the Inkscape CAD (Computer Aided Design) programme and then, using the laser cutting and vinyl cutting machines in the technology room, produce the designs in both acrylic plastic and/or sticky backed vinyl.

Pin Bracelets (PINB2)

Have you ever wanted to try something crafty? During this session you will be designing and making your very own pin bracelet. You decide what you'd like your design brief to look like - get into action -and start creating!

Enrichment
Enrichment courses are designed for students who have found and want to continue to grow an area of strength. Some enrichment courses require a commitment for more than one Term. Please read the course descriptions for details.
Advanced Guitar (AGUI2)

This is for students who know how to play the guitar. This is to further improve your playing and further learn how to read music to broaden your playing abilities.

Enrichment Algebra (EALG2)

Are you wanting to further advance your Algebra skills? Learn cool tricks and strategies to improve? This DEEP will teach you more about Algebra, challenge you, and further advance your skills.

Knitting for Charity (KNIT2)

In this DEEP you will be learning to knit. You will be learning to make booties, beanies and blankets to donate to babies at Middlemore Hospital. You may bring your own wool or have some purchased for you.

Raranga - Flax Weaving (RARA2)

Raranga is a very old art that is practised in many parts of the world. The first Pacific settlers – the ancestors of Māori – brought this technique to Aotearoa New Zealand. Raranga was originally used to make practical items for survival, like rope, fishing nets, and baskets. Join this DEEP to develop your understanding of NZ bi-cultural identity and build your skills in weaving.

Trivia (TRIV2)

Algebra for Beginners (ALGB2)

Are you wanting to get to grips with the basics of Algebra? Develop building blocks to algebra by becoming familiar and confident with the basic rules.

Mindful Colouring (MCOL2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
Mindful Colouring asks us to focus on how we choose and apply colour in a design to bring our awareness to the present moment. This process is similar to meditation, we let go of any thoughts about tomorrow or yesterday, or what we are going to do when we finish. You will be able to take home a Mindful Colouring book once fee is paid.

School Outreach (SOUT2)

In this DEEP, you will work with the local primary schools in the capacities they need. This might be reading with younger students. Assisting teachers with younger students with art projects. Any activities that local primary teachers may need assistance with in the classroom. WPAC - completing this DEEP for a term will go towards your 20 hours of community service.

Sports

AIMS Fitness (AIMF2)

This DEEP is for those students going to AIMS (in any sport). The aim here is to improve your fitness so you are at your peak performance level when this competition comes up in Term 3.

Ancient Combat - Martial Arts (ACOM2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
There is a $10 fee for this DEEP course. Chinese martial arts, often named under the umbrella terms kung fu and wushu (武術; wǔshù), are the several hundred fighting styles that have developed over the centuries in China. Join this DEEP to develop your understanding and skills in Kung Fu.

Beginners Dance (BDAN2)

Want to learn the techniques behind some amazing dance routines? Want to perform at different school functions? This DEEP will be all about different types of dance.

Box Fit (BOXF2)

Fitness training and basic boxing skills. Be prepared to get smashed!

Develop your bike riding confidence and skills (BIKE2)

Do you want to learn how to ride a bike? Lack the confidence to ride it to school? Do you need support to learn the road rules and the strategies needed to ride you bike safely? Want an opportunity to develop your bike riding skills and confidence. This is the DEEP for you. Bike and helmet supplied. There will be an EOTC component to this DEEP with a transport cost later in the term.

Development Basketball (DBAS2)

This DEEP is for all students who plan on trialing for a Mission Heights basketball team. It is for students who have basketball experience and wish to improve their skills.

Running (RUNT2)

Are you a keen runner? With the passion to overcome obstacles as you are running. Then this DEEP is for you! In this DEEP we will look into different running techniques as well as improving our long distance fitness. As an outcome we will be entering into a running event! If you choose this DEEP you will be RUNNING every Friday. This is NOT a walking DEEP

Wednesday

Discovery
At Mission Heights we want you to explore new areas of learning so that you may discover and grow your grain of Greatness. Each discovery course may only be selected once per year.
Baking (BAKW2)

There is a charge of $35 for this course.
Do you have a sweet tooth and love to bake? Enrol in baking and learn how to make delicious cookies and cakes. Sweet treats and good eats in the kitchen! Payment for this class needs to be made before class starts. As an outcome, you will be able to take recipes home to make for your family.

Beginners Electronics (BELE2)

In this DEEP we will concentrate on learning about some basic electronic components which will be used to construct a simple electronic project using a prototype board. At the conclusion of the DEEP you will have some knowledge of electronic components and how to use them in a practical context, understand an electronic circuit diagram and be able to use a prototype board to construct an electronic project.

Book Club (BOKC2)

Do you love to read? Is this your passion? Do you want to extend your reading abilities and discover more authors? This DEEP is for you. You will spend some time exploring new books in the library but then have time to simply read and discover new books!

Patterns with Pen (PPAT2)

We will be using fine and medium pens to draw lines and shapes and combine these to produce patterns. Use your original patterns to develop a design for an artwork.

Song Writing (SOWR2)

Do you love listening to music? Wondering how songs are written? Ever thought about writing your own songs? This DEEP is for you!

Tai Chi (TAIC2)

This DEEP is all about an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defensive training and its health benefits. Understand how our body works in terms of energy flow. Learn the exercise to reinforce our flow of energy. Learn to optimise our physical condition through pacifying our mind. Learn discipline, harmony and balance.

Friendship Skills (FRSK2)

Students will be selected for this DEEP.

Introduction to Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, and Sports Medicine (IPCS2)

Are you interested in a future career in Physiotherapy, Chiropractic Medicine, and/or Sports Medicine? Than this DEEP is for you! Learn how to prepare athletes for optimal performance. Gain theoretical and practical knowledge of how to prevent injury and maintain peak condition during sports. Learn correct stretching techniques and best practice methods. Students can also expect to strengthen their knowledge of anatomy and sports physiology during this DEEP course and learn what it takes to enter these professions.

Jack the Ripper - History (JACK2)

Jack the Ripper is the best-known name for an unidentified serial killer generally believed to have been active in the largely impoverished areas in and around the Whitechapel district of London in 1888. This is a "who done it" DEEP. Learn the history of who this person was to try and solve this crime.

KNex Challenge (KNEX2)

Students will work in collaborative problem solving teams. This is a hands on inquiry based DEEP course that will develop your skills and knowledge of STEM related concepts. Known to be the worlds most creative construction toy, K’nex is put to the test in this architectural class! Put your fine motor and spatial skills and creativity to great use by exploring basic engineering and design concepts and principles to solve problems/challenges.

Maths Problem Solving Enrichment (MATP2)

The aim of an enrichment curriculum is to support the development of a learner's problem solving approach (either through, about or for problem solving), improving learner attitudes, growing their appreciation of mathematics as a discipline as well as the development of conceptual structures that support mathematical understanding and thinking. Join this DEEP to be challenged.

Orchestra (ORCH2)

This DEEP is for students who have had previous lessons with their instrument. Are you keen to put you skills to work in an orchestra? Then this is the DEEP for you! Auditions will be carried out in the first DEEP sessions to make sure you are proficient with your instrument.

Science Investigation DEEP (SINV2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
Get started with developing your lab skills and begin your 2018 Science Fair project. A hands on science DEEP for students wanting to enter Science fair in Term 3.

Solar Panel Cars (SROB2)

There is a charge of $12 for this course.
Schoolgen is a programme developed by Genesis Energy to educate school children across New Zealand about solar energy. Schoolgen's aim is to bring solar energy to life in a fun, exciting way as young people are our future leaders and decision makers. Students will develop an understanding of solar energy through the use of a Solar car which will be theirs to take home. (https://www.genesisenergy.co.nz/schoolgen)

Chess (CHES2)

This is open for both new and experienced students. Learn the basic skills of chess and playing in tournaments. Learn the strategies and all that is involved.

Friendship Bracelets (FREI2)

Transform pieces of string into colourful creations! In this DEEP you will learn how to make a variety of friendship bracelets using simple knots and patterns. Once you have mastered the basics you will be free to experiment with designs of your choice. As an outcome, you will work towards creating a meaningful and original bracelet to give to someone as a gift.

Production Choir (CHOI2)

If you are interested in singing in a group, you will enjoy this DEEP. You will learn basic vocal warm-ups, technique, and group singing dynamics.

School Outreach (SOUW2)

Do you want to give back to your community? Spend time with people and learn what life was like 50 years ago from our elders? Are you interested in connecting with our wisest generation. This deep offers you a valuable experience to gain empathy for others. In this Deep you will learn the following...Knitting, Board games, Baking, Themes, Arts n Crafts, Gardening, Music, Historical discussions. WPAC - completing this DEEP for a term will go towards your 20 hours of community service.

Theatre Sports (TSPO2)

Love Drama? Love games? This DEEP is all about learning and experiencing Drama and Dance through different means. Come prepared to learn, laugh, and have fun.

Sports

Beginners Street Hockey (BSTH2)

This DEEP will let your experience and learn all about street hockey. Street hockey is a fast paced small sided game social game that is played by youth on streets all over the world, it is similar to ice hockey and roller hockey but played on concrete. You will participate in modified games that develop your overall hockey ability. As an outcome, you will create a social lunchtime tournament (you will also participate). The aim of this tournament is to increase the amount of students interested in hockey at MHJC.

Development Football (DFOB2)

This DEEP is targeted at Year 7/8 Girls and Boys Football squad members who are wanting to further accelerate their skills for the upcoming season.

Just Dance (JDAN2)

Shake your hips and wave your hands in a fun filled dance activity for one hour. You will also have a chance to choose your own song and dance to selected songs as well.

Martial Art Speed and Strengthening (MASS2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
To become an accomplished martial artist, you need to work on the speed of your kicks and punches. Skilled martial artists can throw numerous attacks in the same time that a novice can launch a single attack. The tips and techniques taught throughout this DEEP will improve both you skills, strength, and speed.

Strength and Conditioning (STRE2)

In this course you will be specifically training to support the needs and demands of your chosen sport. This DEEP will extend your capacity to express yourself physically and mentally at a high level of sports performance. This is an Enrichment DEEP course and will involve physical challenges that will push the body. Discovery
At Mission Heights we want you to explore new areas of learning so that you may discover and grow your grain of Greatness. Each discovery course may only be selected once per year.
Beginners Chinese Language (BCHI2)

For all students who want to learn Chinese. You will work towards speaking the basics of the language and learning terms that you can easily use to communicate with another person. Chinese culture will also be explored.

Beginners Guitar (GUIT2)

Can you imagine yourself as a musician? In this DEEP you will learn one of the most popular and versatile instruments - the guitar. You will learn the basics and as an outcome you will work towards playing a simple song of your choice.

Beginners Mechanics (BMEC2)

Do you have a broken bike, scooter, skateboard at home you wish you had the skills and knowledge to fix yourself? Do you have a interest in learning the basic mechanics of a 2-stroke engine - pulling it a part, reconditioning it and putting it back together. This is the DEEP course for you

Cookie Decorating (COOD2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.

Mathematician Magician - card tricks (MMAG2)

Want to learn a card trick that will blow your mind? This is the DEEP course for you! Mathematical card tricks - fun to learn, amuse your family and friends become a Mathematician Magician

Observational Drawing (OBDR2)

Develop your sense of observation and your skills in drawing what you see. You will be drawing a series of different objects using a variety of media which may include: pencil, pen, pastel, charcoal.

Paper Quilling (PQUI2)

There is a charge of $12 for this course.
In this DEEP we will introduce how to use quilling tool and using basic techniques to make shapes and designs. This will help students to get some basic experience of paper quilling techniques and improve their concentration and patience.

Traditional Chinese Games (TGAM2)

Forget about computer games that fix your eyes to a screen, traditional Chinese games are so much fun! You will have the opportunity to try out Chinese Yoyos (also called diabolos), spinning tops, and Chinese shuttlecocks. These ancient pastimes are not only fun but also great for developing your eye and body coordination. Quiet games could be Chinese chess or Chinese whispers. All are welcome if you want to do something different.

Zendoodling (ZEND2)

Zendoodling is creating a piece of art using using lines, dots and curves in a random fashion. It is done in fine markers as there is no right or wrong. Spaces are filled with patterns. Students will start off with filling small squares or circles and can then move onto more complex shapes. Shading and colour will also be discussed. A great way to find your creative side without having to reproduce a'real' thing!

Electrocity (ELEC2)

Are you interested in learning through online gaming? ElectroCity is an online computer game that lets players manage their own virtual towns and cities. It’s great fun to play and also teaches players all about energy, sustainability and environmental management in New Zealand. Portrait Drawing and Sculpture (PORT2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
We take inspiration from artist Alexander Calder. In this class we do blind-drawing the face, whereby you don't look at the paper while you draw. We turn these into wire sculptures.

Robotics (ROBO2)

There is a charge of $15 for this course.
Learning the science, technology, and computer programming that makes today's greatest robots. From the little to the large you will begin to learn how these amazing systems are developed right from the ground up.

Scratch (SCRT2)

Learn to code. Create your own games and animations. With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab.

Tournament of the Minds (TOMS2)

If you think outside the square, love to solve demanding and open-ended challenges then TOM is for you. Tournament of Minds is an opportunity for students with a passion for learning and problem solving to demonstrate their skills and talents in an exciting, vibrant and public way.

Jigsaw Puzzles (JIGP2)

Improve your focus and problem solving skills with jigsaws! In this DEEP you will build a variety of jigsaws, starting with 100-piece puzzles and working all the way up to 1000 pieces. Wind down and have fun while developing patience, perseverance, and a range of skills. As an outcome, you will work towards completing a 1000-piece puzzle in a group.

Mindful Colouring (MCOL2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
Mindful Colouring asks us to focus on how we choose and apply colour in a design to bring our awareness to the present moment. This process is similar to meditation, we let go of any thoughts about tomorrow or yesterday, or what we are going to do when we finish. You will be able to take home a Mindful Colouring book once fee is paid.

Minecraft (MINE2)

This DEEP is for experienced minecraft builders only. You need to have a device with the full application already downloaded/purchased.

Advanced Netball (ANET2)

Want to represent MHJC at Netball? This DEEP is for you. A mixture of fitness, skills and techniques that will help develop your netball skills. As an outcome, you will be required to trial for MHJC PREMS Netball. Note to select this DEEP you must have played Netball for a Club and be willing to trial for MHJC PREMS Netball Team

Beginners Basketball (BBAL2)

Are you interested in basketball? Learn all the key skills involved in basketball and work to up your skills in order to play basketball for MHJC. Work through to potentially trial for an MHJC team.

Hockey (HOCK2)

There is a charge of $15 for this course.
This DEEP is for students that are part of our school teams. Training will take place off-site at Ormiston Senior College. Students walk there to train and then must be collected by parents upon completion of training.

Ninja Fitness (NFIT2)

There is a charge of $10 for this course.
There is a $10 fee for this DEEP. Are you interested in improving your fitness and training like a Ninja? Than this DEEP is for you. Learn skills and techniques or Ninja training while working to improve your personal strength and fitness.

Rugby 7s (RUG72)

This is for Year 7 and 8 boys who are wanting to trial for the school Rugby 7s team. If you are athletic and love sport, this is the learning DEEP for you.

Sports Leadership (SLEA2)

In this DEEP, you will learn the basic skills of coaching and deliver games to local primary schools. WPAC - the hours you spend out working with younger students will go towards your community service hours.

Table Tennis (TTEN2)

This DEEP is all about Table Tennis. Come and learn the skills, rules, and techniques involved in the sport. You will spend time learning new skills every week but also have time to complete in an in-house tournament.
